Limited One Year Warranty

This warranty applies to HYBRID Series and RELIC Series.

All GASKELL LEFT HANDED GUITARS instruments are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase, subject to the limitations contained herein. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only and may not be transferred or assigned to subsequent owners. In order to validate your warranty, and as a condition precedent to warranty coverage hereunder, you must fully complete the WARRANTY CARD accompanying all purchases and return email details within fourteen (14) days following the original date of purchase.

Defects caused by wear and tear, misuse, neglect, alteration or modification are not covered by this warranty. Gaskell Guitars retains the right to make such a determination on the basis of inspection, whether by physical inspection or through photographic evidence. In all cases, detailed information is required in order to make an informed and true assessment. Every effort will be taken to cooperate with customers who have a warranty claim or issue and it is expected that customers too will cooperate with the warranty process, for an intended positive outcome.

All initial transportation, insurance and postal/freight/courier charges associated with the sending of the instrument to the service centre are the responsibility of the purchaser. Gaskell Guitars assumes no liabilities for damages incurred in transit to service centre.

On arrival at the Gaskell Guitars service centre, a determination will be made whether the defect is covered under the terms of the warranty. If the repair is covered under the terms of the warranty, it will be repaired at no cost to the original purchaser including the costs of sending the instrument to and from the service centre. If the repair is not covered under warranty, an estimate of the cost of the repair will be given to be done either in-house or by an authorized external repairer. Payment of the costs to return the instrument will be determined on an individual basis.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

Any instrument whose warranty registration card or information has not been received or whose warranty details have been altered or include false or incomplete information.
Any instrument that has been damaged due to an accident, negligence or misuse caused by the owner directly or indirectly.
Any attempted “fixes”, whether successful or unsuccessful, made by the customer or by any agent of the customer including services offered by musical instrument stores or independent luthiers without advance permission or specific instructions from Gaskell Guitars or an authorized representative.
Transportation/shipping damage of any kind on uninsured deliveries.
Transportation/shipping damage of any kind on insured deliveries where the cost to repair is greater than the insured value and/or the value noted on the commercial invoice of the original consignment is not recoverable.
Any cosmetic or functional damage to the external case the guitar came in, whether hard shell case or gig bag.
Normal "wear and tear" to serviceable parts including, but not limited to, fret wear, saddle wear, nut wear, strings, jacks, controls, switches, plated surfaces, tuning machines, pick guards,
Damage to finishes or cracks, splitting, or warping of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity, exposure to or contact with sun, fire, moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration, guitar straps, guitar stands/hangers made from vinyl, plastic, rubber or other synthetic materials, any other chemicals or non approved polishes.
Damage, corrosion or rusting of any chrome/metal hardware components caused by humidity, salty air, or exposure to the moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration, especially in regions notorious for harsh conditions such as areas near or in the desert or areas close to the sea.
Any damage to an instrument resulting from self customization or modification (e.g replacing pickups, machine heads, wiring, etc.)
Any subjective issues such as “tone” or “feel.”
Any factory installed electronics and hardware after one year from the original date of purchase.
Claims from or by anyone other than the original purchaser.
Concerns or criticisms regarding “fit and finish” that are unreasonable and beyond the price point of the guitar.
Any specified flaw or flaws present on B-stock models being sold as “scratch and dent”, the reason for which the model is “scratch and dent.”
The cost of any setup subsequent to the original new guitar setup that was provided upon purchase, and cost of regular maintenance/service of your new instrument, including neck/truss rod adjustments, string changes, action adjustment, and intonation.
Any and all charges including return courier/freight if no problems are found at the time of repair/inspection.
Situations where untruths or imaginary problems about the condition or state of the received product have been used as a smoke screen to cover up the fact that the customer has merely changed their mind and is inventing issues to “justify” a return of the product. Gaskell Guitars reserves the right to make a judgment call on this possibility if it is suspected that this is the case.

Gaskell Guitars makes no other express warranty of any kind whatsoever. All implied warranties, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, exceeding the specific provisions of this warranty are hereby disclaimed and excluded from this warranty. Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties so that the above may not apply to you.

Gaskell Guitars shall not be liable for any special, indirect consequential, incidental or other similar perceived or real damage(s) suffered by the purchaser or any third party, including without limitation, damages for loss or profits or business or damages resulting from use or performance of the instrument even if Gaskell Guitars or its authorized representative has been advised of such damages. Gaskell Guitars shall not be liable for any expenses, claims or suits arising out of or relating to any of the foregoing.
